Finger Lakes Visitors Guide 2009 Visitors Guide : IFC

welcome New York’s Finger Lakes Region is a popular destination, every season of the year. We have picture-perfect lakes, awesome scenery and countless opportunities to enjoy our natural resources. There are many reasons to say, “I Love New York’s Finger Lakes.” You can ski, golf, fish, hike, bike and shop. Visit wineries, museums or galleries or stroll down our “main streets” in our small quaint towns. This is a setting to relax and reconnect with friends. The wine trails are favorites of our visitors, but there are other “trails” here too. These trails may not have official designations like the wine trails, but they are just as exciting. Inside is a sampler of themed trails to whet your appetite. Here, you’ll find the resources (online, on-the-phone or onsite) that you’ll need for a perfect itinerary. Each trail has fun suggestions for geocaching, places to eat and spots for the best pictures. At the end, there’s a summary list to help you plan your visit. Once you’ve been to Ontario County and the Finger Lakes and developed your own trail, we’d love to hear about it. Visit our website to share your photos, join our blog, and tell us your Finger Lakes story. See you on the trails!
